I recently spent three amazing days in Prayagraj (formerly Allahabad)<\/strong>, exploring its spiritual sites, historical landmarks, and vibrant local culture. Day 1: Prayagraj Itinerary (Allahabad)-Exploring Spirituality & History<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Morning: A Sacred Start at Triveni Sangam<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

My trip started with a visit to Triveni Sangam<\/strong>, the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers. The peaceful boat ride took me right to the meeting point of these holy waters. Watching pilgrims take a dip in the Sangam was truly a humbling experience. I couldn\u2019t resist dipping my feet in the water\u2014it felt like a divine blessing!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a spiritual start, I took a walk around the Allahabad Fort<\/strong> (only its exterior is accessible). Built by Emperor Akbar, the fort stands tall, telling tales of the Mughal era. Though I couldn\u2019t enter, I admired its grand architecture from outside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, I visited Anand Bhavan<\/strong>, the ancestral home of the Nehru family. Walking through the museum, I saw rare photographs and personal belongings of India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. Right next to it, Swaraj Bhavan<\/strong> stood as a reminder of India’s freedom struggle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the sun began to set, I headed to Alopi Devi Temple<\/strong>, which is unlike any other temple\u2014it doesn\u2019t have a traditional idol! Instead, devotees worship a wooden cradle, believing the Goddess resides in it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I ended my day with a peaceful stroll at Chandrashekhar Azad Park (Company Bagh)<\/strong>. This lush green space was where freedom fighter Chandrashekhar Azad made his last stand against British forces. The silence of the place felt powerful, as if history was whispering its tales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Morning: Mughal Grandeur & British Architecture<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I couldn\u2019t miss Minto Park (now called Mahatma Gandhi Park)<\/strong>, where the British officially handed over power to the East India Company in 1858. It\u2019s a small but historically significant spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By lunchtime, I was at Loknath Market<\/strong>, a paradise for food lovers. I indulged in hot Kachori-Sabzi<\/strong> and some delicious Chaat<\/strong>, followed by a tall glass of Prayagraj\u2019s famous Lassi<\/strong>. The flavors were unforgettable!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I began my final day at Shankar Viman Mandapam<\/strong>, a South Indian-style temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Climbing up, I was rewarded with a fantastic view of the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, I stopped at Nagvasuki Temple<\/strong> in Daraganj, dedicated to the serpent king Vasuki. This temple is a must-visit, especially during Nag Panchami.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
