India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp, is preparing to introduce its first flex-fuel motorcycle in the country on June 3, 2026. The launch marks a significant step toward promoting cleaner and more sustainable mobility solutions in India.

The motorcycle will be launched by Hero MotoCorp in the presence of Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari and Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri.

Hero MotoCorp is set to unveil its first flex-fuel motorcycle capable of operating on high-ethanol fuel blends. Industry reports suggest the new model could be based on the popular Hero Splendor or HF Deluxe platform, although the company has not officially confirmed the model name.

The official launch event is scheduled for June 3, 2026. The announcement comes as India continues to push for greater adoption of alternative fuels and reduce dependence on conventional petrol.

The unveiling will take place in New Delhi, where government officials and industry leaders are expected to attend the event.

The launch aligns with the Indian Government’s vision of increasing ethanol usage in transportation to reduce crude oil imports, improve energy security, and lower vehicle emissions, Flex-fuel technology is considered an important step toward cleaner mobility while utilizing domestically produced biofuels.

Flex fuel motorcycles are designed to run on varying blends of petrol and ethanol, including high-ethanol fuels such as E85 and potentially E100, specialized engine management systems automatically adjust performance based on the fuel mixture, allowing riders to use alternative fuels without compromising usability.

With this launch, Hero MotoCorp is expected to strengthen its position in India’s evolving green mobility market while supporting the nation’s transition toward cleaner and more sustainable transportation solutions.
