Gurugram, June 2026, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL) has achieved its highest ever monthly sale in May 2026. The achievement comes at a time when India’s two-wheeler industry is witnessing renewed momentum driven by improving consumer confidence, expanding rural demand, and strong interest in scooters and premium motorcycles. Suzuki’s latest sales figures demonstrate that the Japanese brand’s long-term strategy of strengthening its product portfolio, dealership network, and customer engagement initiatives is paying off.

The record-breaking performance was registered by Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. The Indian subsidiary of Japan based Suzuki Motor Corporation. Established in India in 2006, the company manufactures and sells a range of scooters, motorcycles, and premium big bikes tailored to Indian riders.

Over the years, Suzuki has steadily expanded its presence across urban and rural markets. Its scooter lineup, particularly the Access 125 and Burgman street, has played a major role in driving sales growth, while motorcycles such as the Gixxer series and V-storm SX have strengthened the company’s appeal among enthusiasts and touring riders.

The latest sales milestone highlights Suzuki’s transformation from a niche player into one of India’s fastest-growing two-wheeler manufacturers.

Suzuki Motorcycle India recorded total sales of 1,32,244 units in May 2026, surpassing all previous monthly sales records achieved by the company in India. The figure represents approximately 3% year on year growth compared to the 1,28,897 units sold in May 2025.

The company’s domestic dispatches stood at 1,10,028 units, while exports reached 22,216 units during the month. Both domestic and overseas markets contributed significantly to the record-breaking performance.

Industry observers note that while the overall percentage growth may appear modest, achieving a record volume on an already large sales base demonstrates sustained demand and increasing customer acceptance of Suzuki products.

The achievement is particularly significant because it also represents Suzuki’s highest-ever domestic sales figure in India.

The record was achieved during May 2026, with the company officially announcing the results on June 1, 2026. The milestone comes just two months into the new financial year, giving Suzuki a strong start to FY2026-27.

The strong May performance follows positive momentum generated during the previous financial year and indicates that the company has successfully carried forward its growth trajectory into the current fiscal year.

According to industry analysts, May is traditionally an important month for two-wheeler manufacturers because it coincides with summer travel, educational admissions, and increased mobility requirements, all of which contribute to vehicle demand.

The growth was witnessed across both domestic and export markets.

In India, Suzuki continued to strengthen its presence in metropolitan cities, tier-2 towns, and emerging rural markets. The company’s expanding dealership network has helped improve accessibility and after-sales support, enabling it to reach a broader customer base.

One of the biggest drivers behind Suzuki’s success has been the continued popularity of its scooter range. Models such as the Access 125 and Burgman Street have developed a strong reputation for reliability, fuel efficiency, comfort, and practicality. These attributes have made them popular among commuters, families, and urban riders.
