Road Trip Map- Choosing Your Route

Whenever I decide to make a road trip. The first step I do is planning an epic road trip by selecting the route.

Choice of selection depends upon your individual likes, interest.

There are Expressways, Highways, city roads.  Two Wheelers or Motorcycles are not allowed in some expressway in India.   Please check the local authorities before embarking your road trip.

Then my focus comes to selecting the highway with scenic view or opt for the city roads riding through small towns to enjoy the charm of small town roads.  This will help me to decide the stops for food, hydrate myself, and of course the nature calls, along the way to create a journey that resonates with my interests.

Planning Pit Stops: Road Trip Snacks

Usually I think road trips are as more about the journey then the destination. With proper Research you may plan an interesting pit stops – whether it’s a roadside Dhaba, a charming café, or a breath taking viewpoint. These unexpected discoveries often become the highlights of your trip.

Accommodation Options/ Hotels/ guest house/home stay:

Before embarking your road trip, pre-book your accommodation.  For budget accommodation you check for the home stay or guest house.

I mostly prefer home stay mostly in mountains i.e., Uttarakhand, Himachal Road trips.  Since that satisfies my daily budget and also get a home cooked food.

Apart from the above, there are more options like camping, roof top which may include breakfasts.  Thought this excites and create a adventurous journey.

Capturing Memories: Action Camera / Insta 360 /Go pro

I usually use my mobile phone to capture the beauty, scenic serenity, landmarks and candid moments of my adventure along the way.
